We Tried out a new activity idea today – “ice” skating indoors.
Skates: Wax Paper, Paper Plates, Baking paper. (We tried them all and the best glide was from the wax paper, although the plates stayed under small feet the best)
Ice Rink: We moved the coffee table and rolled away the area rug then added some play cones to mark the rink. We happen to have wood floors – but I think even on carpet it could turn out to be fun.
We added some music and took turns pulling each other and spinning around together. This was a great way for the boys to take turns requesting songs and waiting to be pulled and then working together trying to pull me.
All in all it was a low effort activity for a lot of giggles. We even repeated some ice skating after dinner but this time just around the area rug and it was still lots of fun!
